I rise today
with the power of God to pilot me,
God's strength to sustain me,
God's wisdom to guide me,
God's eye to look ahead for me,
God's ear to hear me,
God's word to speak for me,
God's hand to protect me,
God's way before me,
God's shield to defend me,
God's host to deliver me,
from snares of devils,
from evil temptations,
from nature's failings,
from all who wish to harm me,
far or near,
alone and in a crowd.
—"Saint Patrick's Breastplate,"
Old Irish, eighth-century prayer.

With the summer holidays of 2016 finished, Claudia and I are once again back in the office, available for people of all walks and circumstances of life to come to us that we might counsel and pray with them. God’s heart is an open door of love for those who honestly seek His face, having a desire to walk with Him and to learn of His saving grace.
There are always open counselling spaces available come mid-summer, and so we invite you to contact us so that we might meet to-gether and discover how we might be of help to you. God desires to heal all those who come to Him.
You may set up an appointment by contacting us in one of three ways:- telephone at 778-426-3212; email us at revchas@shaw.ca, or write to us at 70-7570 Tetayut Road, Saanichton, B.C., V8M 2H4.
When we began Victoria Prayer Counselling over 23 years ago, the Lord spoke clearly to us as to what Scripture we were to use as our guide. I share it with you here. It is from Isaiah 61, verses 1 to 3.

The Good News of Salvation

1 “The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me,
Because the Lord has anointed Me
To preach good tidings to the poor;
He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted,
To proclaim liberty to the captives,
And the opening of the prison to those who are bound;

2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord,
And the day of vengeance of our God;
To comfort all who mourn,

3 To console those who mourn in Zion,
To give them beauty for ashes,
The oil of joy for mourning,
The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness;
That they may be called trees of righteousness,
The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.”
